Hey there! Happy Summer! Ours is happing pretty fast here at Husky Homestead…
Tours have been going strong so far this season and we’ve had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful people from around the world. A great big thank you to so many of our guests that have sent “kudos” letters to us. We do love to hear when you enjoyed your visit with us.
Our puppies are growing bigger everyday! Here Jamie takes four little ones for a run with the four-wheeler. They’ve gotten to the age that we need to be motorized to keep up with them….
Jeff signed up for Iditarod XXXVII this past Saturday. He headed down to the picnic at Iditarod Headquarters in Wasilla early in the morning with two of his biggest fans in tow: cousin Randy from MN and Virgil. Since Virgil always has his camera handy, he snapped these pictures to share with us us while he was there…
Phone calls received while the guys were on their way back home to Denali made it sound as if they were having entirely too much fun!
I apologize for this being so short! But we have been talking about doing a blog for so long… and as Jeff says “focus on the task”… that I wanted to get a little blurb out to you all. Please do check back though – we’ll share some more summer pictures with you from the Homestead.
Until then, take care!!
Well, it may be summer here in western PA but my heart is always close to the Alaskan Range! Great pictures, thanks for sharing! I imagine you are getting lots of hugs for those puppies at the Homestead. Loafer was my little hug several years ago. Looking forward to another Iditarod with Jeff on the back of the sled! Time will fly, trust me, it will be March before we all know it!!
Memories…of 2 years ago when I visited the Husky Homestead. The litter I was “intorduced” to was the MASH puppies. Thanks for the pictures. I may never get back to Alaska and Husky Homestead, but I have a place carved out in my heart for you all and loved to read the updates! It was great to see Jeff signing up for another Iditarod…looking forward to it!
Yea!
Thanks for the pictures and update.
It is always good to read the news and see photos of the happenings at Husky Homestead.
Go Jeff! Can’t wait to see you on the sled for Iditarod 2009. We’re behind you all the way. Hope all is well with Donna and her dogs. They are an amazing team!!!
I have great memories of my Husky Homestead trip and tour.
Have a great July!
Judi
Hi to everyone at Husky Homestead! Alaska is sure making headlines these days. I’m impressed with Sarah. I get tired just thinking of what her schedule is going to be like until November! I am sure that you all have your personal opinions about your Governor and this election. But, your Governor’s selection has sure stirred up some excitement in the lower states. I would love to know what POTUS thinks of all this!!! Any chance that you could get us Jeff’s take on this historical selection?
I also was wondering if Sarah ever had her own dog team? Or did she just stick to the iron dog. HMMMMMM…there’s a thought. I bet she could win the Iditarod if she put her mind to it!!
