Have ya missed us??
We have been busy up here at Husky Homestead! So please don’t think that we’ve forgotten about you!
The puppies are growing… and growing, all dogs are in training and the tundra is turning color… Our summer season will be over in less than a month! We have met so many great people from around the world and want to say thank you for spending time with us on your visit to Alaska!
E-mails and letters continue to arrive daily offering praise to “Cold Hands Warm Heart”. It is always a pleasure to hear from you and thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. A number of you
have written to us about Donna’s artwork that is featured in the book – not only to say how beautiful it is, but also to ask if certain prints are available. Most of the prints featured in the book are sold out pieces, but make sure to check out the “Art Gallery” link on our home page. There you will find what is currently available.
I’m sharing some photos from the summer with you!
That will have to be all for now… but keep your paws crossed that I can pin Jeff down for his take on the summer and what’s new around the Homestead.
Until then…
Happy Trails,
Carrie
Well, I am glad you guys are still way up North! It’s good to hear from you!
The puppies are absolutely adorable! They look like champions! How time does fly! I assume that there is snow up on the peaks and that is an incentive to start to train harder.
I am glad to hear that Jeff’s book has been popular. I know that I enjoyed reading my copy!
Keep us posted. March will be here in a blink of an eye.
The Howler
That top picture sure is one bold puppy. A Future leader perhaps?
Hi!
Thanks for sharing the nice photos of the start of your training and of the cute little(?!) puppies!
How many Norwegian kroner do you want for Kroner!? 🙂
With best regards from Anders in Norway
Carrie & Husky Homestead,
Hi from Nebraska!
How are the namesake puppies doing?
I love the foreign currency liter name choice. Great Pictures!
As always, thanks for keeping us updated!

Hi Again,
Jeff & Donna, I wanted to pass along this information to you. A fourth grader at Central Elementary by the name of Kelly (cute little redheaded, freckle faced girl) read Cold Hands Warm Heart. She thought the chapter (I think number 8) about the house burning down was sad. With blue green Irish eyes sparkling she told me how much she enjoyed the book. Every couple of days she would come to me and let me know she was still reading the book. Kelly has since finished the book and I have turned her on to “Running with Champions”, Lisa’s book. I told her how the Kings helped Lisa Fredric learn and train for the Iditarod. Another Iditarod Dream facilitated by you!!! Amazing how you have touched, and are continuing to touch, so many lives! 🙂
Rock On!
