Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get to your tour?
All guests will need to provide their own transportation to Husky Homestead. Driving instructions to our location will be provided at the time your booking is confirmed. We are located approximately eight miles south to the entrance to Denali National Park.
What should I wear?
We suggest the following:
- A coat/jacket – temperatures can change quickly, so having an extra layer may be advantageous.
- Closed toed footwear – our grounds are a mix of gravel and sawdust. High heels are not recommended.
Our tour is not governed by weather, so we will not cancel. The first part of our presentation is outside, and we have seating benches under a covered awning that protects guests from the weather. The second half of our presentation is inside our theater building with seating for everyone.
What should I bring?
You will want to bring your camera or cell phone for photos! Bug spray is a good idea, too, as mosquitoes are prevalent during the summer months. We have a small giftshop that accepts Visa, Mastercard, and cash if you’re looking to pick-up a souvenir after your tour.
I’m coming later in the season. Will it be dark during the evening tour?
Only in the latest part of our season will you see any darkness while on a visit with us. All portions of your tour will be daylight.
